General condition of this bike is good, with a few chips to the surface varnish of the frame and paintwork on the stem and handlebars, but this will have absolutely no effect on the long term longevity of the bike. There is some corrosion on the brake levers but this is entirely cosmetic and they still operate very smoothly. All cables, outer casings, rear brake pads, chainring bolts, handlebar tape are brand new. The saddle is a brand new mid-range Specialized model. I will include a pair of Look Delta pedals if you don't have your own, but they look pretty tatty.
I have never crashed with this bike and always used a proper case when flying with it. I've had the most amazing time riding, but it's going to see zero action with me this year and isn't designed to sit in a shed.
The Specialized Roubaix range needs no introduction and this model definitely lived up to the hype. If you want to ride long distances and cross the finish line feeling like you could do plenty more, this is the bike for you. It will carry you uphill when you're spent and handle so confidently downhill that you just won't believe your speed. Over the last 4 years, It has got me through the Etape du Tour, Dragon Ride, Fred Whitton Challenge, Cornwall Tor, Dartmoor Classic, Exmouth Exodus, and never failed to give me immense riding pleasure and some respectable finishing times too. I will be sad to see it go, but I ned to be sensible and I know it would make a brilliant upgrade for someone getting serious about cycling.
Asking price is £900. I will consider sensible offers and strongly recommend viewing and a short test ride to really appreciate the quality of this bike. I will accept payment by card, so if you have the right type of credit card, you could be getting a secondhand bike on interest free credit. Collection from Plymouth only. Enquire on 07971925402.
