I'm with Steve Clare on this one and think that the climb out of Portwrinkle was the steepest one I've ever been up - loved it! Well... you know...

Are we talking about local hills? Going up Hardknott pass wasfor me pretty memorable, but it's not local obviously

Hardest hill I've done would have to be Dunkerry Beacon, on Exmoor, after 270m of the Tour of Wessex. Brutal! Not the route the Beast took last year, this one was much worse.

Thers's a cracking hill at Milton Combe, short a very steep. This where most of us have clocked up our top speeds (56mph), downwards of course .

Yep I'd agree with you on Hardnott but the best(down hill) or worst I've ever come across has to be the Locally called Heart Attack hill in the Dales.....But it's a tad hilly tup North !!!
